Chez QN Maroc, nous savons que le changement climatique est la plus grande menace pour l'avenir de notre planète. Les niveaux de gaz à effet de serre dans notre atmosphère sont à leur plus haut niveau depuis deux millions d'années et ils continuent de grimper.
Ces gaz réchauffent notre planète. Nous constatons déjà leur impact avec l'augmentation des sécheresses, des incendies de forêt, des inondations et des tempêtes qui ravagent nos communautés et des espèces animales qui frôlent l'extinction.
Nous devons agir maintenant pour réduire notre empreinte carbone et garantir à nos enfants un héritage d'une planète habitable. C'est pourquoi QN Maroc s'engage à construire un Héritage vert.
CE QUE NOUS POUVONS FAIRE
En tant qu'entreprise, nous comprenons le rôle que nous avons à jouer dans la lutte contre le changement climatique et autres problèmes environnementaux. Tout en encourageant nos employés et distributeurs à adopter des pratiques durables dans leur quotidien, nous cherchons également à collaborer avec des acteurs environnementaux de confiance pour mener des initiatives durables à travers le monde et animer une discussion globale sur la durabilité.
En travaillant ensemble, nos partenariats peuvent multiplier notre force, étendre notre portée et accroître notre impact. En nous concentrant sur la construction d'un héritage vert, nous pouvons changer l'avenir et laisser une planète plus saine, plus propre et meilleure pour les générations à venir.
QN MAROC’S REFORESTATION INITIATIVE
According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), tropical forests are losing more than 30 football fields worth of trees every minute. To catch up with deforestation by 2050, the world would need to grow enough trees to cover an area five times the size of India.
QN MAROC understands the critical role forests hold in the livelihoods, ecology, culture, and health of communities in which we work. Forests support more than 80% of the world’s land species and protect 75% of our freshwater. They reduce the risk of natural disasters such as floods and landslides and more than 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their income.
The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) identify reforestation and sustainable forest management as key to combating climate change.
Reforestation comes at a price, however. Reverting land into forest can adversely impact food and energy production. QN MAROC is leading a global discussion on responsible and sustainable reforestation and what it means for the communities where we work.
Our Global Forest
QNET launched its Green Legacy in 2021 by partnering with Ecomatcher to plant a global forest.The first phase of QNET’s reforestation initiative saw a total of 3,000 saplings planted in Kenya, the Philippines, and the United Arab Emirates.
Since then, QNET has also contributed to reforestation efforts in Bali, Algeria, and Turkey, with more projects in more communities along the way.
